A real town, not just a beach hamlet
Gerringong sits between Kiama and Berry and has grown into a proper town of its own — a main street with shops and cafes, a golf course, and a real mix of full-time residents alongside holiday homes, rather than being dominated by one or the other the way Gerroa next door is. That means we see everything here: young families in newer homes on the hill, retirees in established weatherboard cottages near the centre, and owners who only use their place a few weekends a year.
Werri Beach draws a steady stream of surfers and swimmers year-round, and homes closer to the water deal with the same sand-and-salt combination as anywhere on this stretch of coast — gritty floors, glass that clouds up faster, window tracks that need attention more often than an inland property would. Homes further back toward the highway or up on the hill are a more standard coastal clean.
